Discover Armenia from a new perspective. Join our exceptional tour to Kalavan-Seagull Island-Noratus.

What do we offer? Kalavan is a small village in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, 1600 meters above sea level. It has graveyards and stone-century outdoor stations in the surroundings. The archaeological monument Kalavan 1 dates back to the 14th millennium, and Kalavan 2 is more than 34 thousand years old.

To get to Kalavan we need to get to Dprabak village on a bus and continue on off-road vehicles (this is the greatest part of the experience!).

After an interesting excursion around Kalavan and a tasty forest lunch, we will get back to our bus in Dprabak and continue to Lake Sevan. The next station is Lake Sevan, where we’ll board a boat to go to Seagull island, one of the most interesting and less explored parts of Armenia (this portion of the tour is seasonal: April to October)

Our next stop will be at Noratus. It’s a historical village in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, near the town of Gavar. It is famous for the Noratus Cemetery featuring Armenian cross-stones.

Noratus is first mentioned as a settlement in the Middle Ages when it was a much larger settlement. The bronze-age megalithic fort near the village points to the notion that Noratus is one of the most ancient continuously inhabited settlements in Armenia.

On the back way to Yerevan, we’ll stop at the Bashinjaghyan Tea House for a very tasty dinner.
